The shadow is interpreted to the scholar who is a monument, an ascetic and a hafiz. Anyone who sees himself retreating into the shade from the heat in his dream will be freed from sadness and grief and will attain sustenance. The lake that a woman sees in her dream is her husband.
If a woman without a husband sees herself retreating into the shade in her dream, she will marry a respectable and wealthy person.
