Seeing a palm in a dream indicates the strength of the dreamer. The openness of the palm indicates the breadth of his world, and the closedness of the palm indicates the narrowness of his livelihood. It indicates his stinginess and little goodness. Seeing a palm in a dream is auspicious if it is beautiful and clean. According to some, seeing a palm indicates giving up sin. Seeing yourself rubbing your palms together in your dream is interpreted in two ways; freedom and
joy, dealing with something useless.
Seeing yourself hitting the inside of your other hand with the back of your hand signifies harm and
unpleasantness.
Seeing a palm in a dream is attributed to six things: staying away from haram,
heroism, presidency, child, property, pleasure and alcohol. More or less in the palm
cleanliness and dirt are interpreted by comparing these six things. Cafer-i Sadık (R.
A.) also interpreted this dream as follows.
The person who sees his palm wide in the dream will have plenty of sustenance. His property and money increase. He is famous for his generosity as well as his wealth.
Seeing that his palm is narrow is interpreted in the opposite way.
