OATH (Tiflisi Interpretation)

Allama Majlis: To see that you have sworn; It is a sign that you will break your covenant with Allah. "As for those who exchange their promises and oaths against Allah for a small price, they will have no share in the hereafter. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Judgment, will not look at them, and will not purify them. There will be a painful punishment for them."[213]

İbn-i Sirîn: To swear in the right place; that you will do a good deed, return a trust given to you to its owner, give a true testimony, do charitable deeds, or stay safe from something you fear…

To swear falsely; It indicates that you have done or will do something that will anger Allah and that you will be deprived of the blessings of this world and the hereafter, so you should repent as soon as possible. "Have you not seen those who take as friends a community with whom Allah is wrathful? They are neither from you nor from them. They knowingly swear falsely."[214]
