Dream Meaning of INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS
Since human beings have been dreaming since the day they existed, it would not be wrong to say that they have been making efforts to interpret dreams since the day they existed.

However, in order for dreams to be handled in their current form, many processes must have occurred, as in other fields.

We do not have the information to indicate how the first people dreamed and how they interpreted their dreams.

As far as can be determined, primitive people thought that their ancestors, dead people or superhuman beings showed themselves in their dreams, and thus they established a connection with the spirit world.

Ancient Egyptians, Guldanis and Hebrews made dream interpretation a branch of knowledge because they believed that dreams foretold the future and therefore dreams were a magical power.

The history of Europeans regarding dream interpretation goes back a long way.

It is rumored that Alexander the Great had dream interpreters with him when he went on a campaign, and sometimes even had these interpreters interpret his dreams and acted accordingly.

We have explained Islam's view on the dream issue in general at the beginning.

Quran-, In the Holy Quran. Hz. The story of Yusuf is a decisive evidence regarding Islam's view on the issue of dreams.

Hz. When Yusuf was a child, he saw in his dream that eleven stars, the sun and the moon were prostrating to him, and his father said this to Hz. He tells Jacob.

Yakub interprets the dream, says that Prophet Yusuf will attain a great rank, that his ten

brothers and his parents will bow before him, and asks him not to tell his dream to his brothers.

Years pass, Hz. Joseph also becomes a famous dream interpreter, he interprets Pharaoh's dream. When his interpretation turns out to be correct, he attains a great position. His mother, father and siblings also come to his presence and bow to him. Thus, his dream comes true.

Our Prophet's view of the dream will undoubtedly be in accordance with the Holy Quran, and it was so. According to Islam, not all dreams are the same. Some dreams with certain characteristics are divine and true dreams,

the rest are evil and empty dreams.

Sometimes, after performing the morning prayer, our Prophet (pbuh) turns to the people and asks:

"Has anyone among you had a dream tonight?" he would ask. He would listen to the dream of the dreamer and pray as follows:

"May it be auspicious and far from evil. No evil to us

Let it be to our enemies. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds."

As stated in the Holy Quran, Hz. Jacob and especially Hz. Yusuf

(as) are famous dream interpreters. Addressing Joseph (as) in the Qur'an, Almighty Allah says the following:

"This is how your Lord will choose you and give you information regarding the interpretation of dreams."

Hz. Abu Bakr, İbn-i Şirin and Cafer-i Sadık (ra) are the famous commentators of the Islamic world.
