According to Ibn Sirin (R.A.); Drinking sweet and fragrant sherbet is interpreted in six ways: benefit, useful knowledge, beauty, sustenance, truthfulness in religion, remembrance of Allah. Drinking sherbet that tastes sour indicates sadness and grief. Drinking a sherbet that has a pleasant smell and moderate taste is a sign of goodness, benefit and worship. He who drinks sherbet made from apples, pears, apricots, strawberries and the like, which does not taste sour, will attain goodness and benefit. According to a rumor, his life is long and his sustenance is ample. Anyone who sees himself drinking sour-tasting syrups, such as lemonade, bitter orange sherbet, and sour pomegranate sherbet, will experience sadness and grief.
