If a person sees cautery in a dream, it indicates wasted wealth. Sometimes this dream is interpreted as illness. Again, seeing cauterization in a dream signifies bitter and violent words. Abu Saidu'l-Vaaz said: Seeing cautery in a dream signifies a great and exalted rank. Cafer-i Sâdık (r.a.) said: Seeing yourself being burned with fire in a dream indicates not paying the zakat of the property or being in the service of the head of state. Danyal (a.s.) says: If a person sees himself being branded or branding someone in his dream, it indicates useless words and being heartbroken.
