Seeing yourself lighting the lamp of a mosque in your dream is interpreted as a righteous and devoted son. Seeing and lighting many lamps in your dream is a sign of religion and piety. Extinguishing the lamps indicates deprivation of religion and piety. Seeing a lamp burning in one's own house go out in a dream is interpreted with two aspects: a) The end of life, b) The death of a son. Cabirü'l-Mağribî said: Seeing yourself lighting a lamp with a lighter or a match in your dream signifies marriage for a single person, and offspring for a married person. If the dreamer has a man abroad, it is a sign that that person will return safely. Ibn Sirin (rh.a) said: Seeing many burning lamps signifies a just queen, an ascetic scholar and a useful judge. Again, seeing a burning lamp in a dream indicates the abundance of light in the heart, the strength of religion, and the success of one's desires.
