Dream Meaning of ABOUT THE VIRTUE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF DREAM INTERPRETATION

The truth is; The science of dream interpretation is a remarkable and great science. This knowledge of God Almighty is Hz. Everyone knows that he donated it to Yusuf (a.s). As a matter of fact, Almighty Allah says in the Holy Quran:

"This is how We settled Joseph in Egypt and told him not to interpret dreams. We taught."[1]

Ibn Abbas says: "The first thing that Allah donated to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was that one of the close angels told him in a dream. 'O Muhammad, good news to you! God Almighty chose you among all the prophets, gave you the knowledge of the unseen and made you the last of the prophets!' was the saying. "But he is the messenger of Allah and the last of the prophets."[2]

When our Prophet woke up, he told Hazrat Hatice (pbuh) about this dream. Hazrat Hatice said, 'How happy are you! There is goodness and a future for you in this dream!' he said. Our Prophet had another dream after the Night of Ascension. "I swear that Allah made the Prophet's dream come true."[3] Again, Allah made the Prophet's dream come true. About Abraham's (a.s) dream, he says the following in his language: "My son, I saw in my dream that I was slaughtering you."[4]

It is reported that this science was a miracle of the Prophet Joseph (a.s). Therefore, a science that is the miracle of the prophets must of course be a noble and great science.

Abdullah b. Abbas narrates from Sulayman as follows: "A true dream is Allah's revelation (warning) to His believing servants. God warns him in this way before good and evil reach him. In this way, he ensures that he is not deceived by the pretenses of the world and is not heedless of Allah."

Selman Mervî says: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.a) say to his companions: When a righteous person among you sees a good dream, he should say "Eûzu billâhi mineşşeytânirracîm" (I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the expelled/stoned devil) several times and not tell anyone about the dream he saw. This way no harm will come to him."

It is narrated from Imam Ali (a.s), the Commander of the Believers, that: "When a believer sees a dream, he should know its interpretation, so that he can make good use of it; When one has a bad dream, one should be protected from its bad consequences by prayer, worship and alms."

Ibn Sirin:
"Whoever attains all stages of this science will have all the sciences. Because the origins of every science he seeks are not as diverse as this science; This science cannot be described as analogy, its method is beautiful. There is a method in every science, but the essence of this science is related to people's values, religiosity, their status in astrology and their birth dates at different times.

Sometimes the dream is interpreted as the same, sometimes it is never looked at; Sometimes it gets tired for women, sometimes for men; Sometimes it consists of confused (meaningless) dreams. It should be known that not every knowledgeable person needs another knowledge. However, the dream interpreter must study the science of Quranic interpretation, the words of our Prophet (pbuh) in this field, the interpretations of all Arab or non-Arab interpreters, poems, folk language, etc. has to know things. He must be forward-thinking and wise. He should be well versed in people's behavior and appearance (reading them from their faces) and should know the principles of interpretation very well. In addition, he must have his share of divine forgiveness and God's generosity, he must turn to God, and he must not harbor anything beyond truth and good deeds in his tongue. May God have mercy on those whose knowledge and leaven is pure from sins, ugly words and illicit food. Whoever has such a structure, Allah will give him this tawfiq. In this context, it makes him the heir of the prophets..."
